- The Minden Times on $3.5 million in capital grants to the Trillium Lakelands DSB;
- Another $1 million for repairs in the Brant-Haldimand-Norfolk Catholic DSB, in the Simcoe Reformer;
- The Dunnville Chronicle posts and advancer on a pending ARC decision by trustees in the Grand Erie DSB;
- Another advancer on a pending ARC decision by trustees in the Simcoe County DSB from the Barrie Examiner; and,
- CBC Ottawa on school overcrowding in the regional suburb of Kanata.

Gee, you'd think there was an election or something this year...
Yeah, which if you follow that line of thought, you'd think the government would do what it did earlier in its first and second mandates-- spread the love and allow local/regional Liberal MPPs to make the good news announcements.
They haven't on this round or the ones last year.

I see today that one MPP is going to introduce a private members bill to allow school boards to tax so that they can fix school buildings that need repair.
In Toronto, the board should sell the millions of dollars worth of surplus property to pay for the repairs. Allowing this board to tax again would be a recipe for a spending frenzy.
It's all about optics and snagging votes - nothing more. Anon. 9:53 is correct!
Guess it puts a lie to the gov't touting that they have no more money for schools/boards.
I wonder where the MPP raising the PMB thinks municipalities are going to get the cash to fix crumbling schools? Out of their wazoos?
